Bay East Pet of The Month

Hello, my name is Ally and I am a Golden Retriever. My owners chose me among my brothers and sisters because I was the only one that gave my Daddy a kiss. I guess it was that easy and it has been pretty easy to steal their hearts ever since, to be honest. They say I’m the nicest and the cutest dog ever, so I just try to repeat whatever I’m doing when they say that and it seems to lead to lots of belly rubs and ear scratches. I try to be my cutest when they’re eating their dinner, but it doesn’t help me to get table scraps. I’ll need to continue working on that.

 I have been a loyal patient at Bay East for about three years, although to be honest, my loyalty is based in part on those chewy treats I get when I’m in the exam room. I am 8-years old, but I’ll be nine on January 11^th so I’ll be celebrating my birthday as well as my Pet of the Month honor. The reason for most of my visits lately has been my surgically repaired knee. In fact, Dr. Vukich has now repaired both of my knees that had ligament damage from my frequent jumps and twists and turns. I even was able to be one of the first animals that received the cool new laser therapy treatment at Bay East.

            I know my parents and I have been so happy with the care I have received at Bay East Animal Hospital. I especially want to thank Dr. Vukich and Dr. Zellmer who have treated me, as well as all of the friendly Vet Techs and the welcoming ladies I see right away when I walk in (in fact, the front desk ladies make me feel so comfortable that I don’t even mind stepping on the scale to show them how much I weigh!!). As a lady, I don’t like to share my weight with just anybody.

I feel like I’m four again— jumping up on the bed, chasing my tail, and scaling massive snow piles. I’ll be at Bay East again soon to get my teeth sparkling clean, so I’ll probably need to get that chewy treat before the cleaning takes place.
