Bay East’s lovable orange tabby, came to live here in August of 1999. Indy was about six weeks old when he was noticed running through the front parking lot. After a ten minute hunt through the field to the North of the parking lot, Indy was caught and brought into the hospital for an exam. He was named Indy (short for Indianapolis), by one of the technicians who is a big auto-racing fan. His first medical entry states “…offered H20 and recovery, was hungry!” Indy will still mooch treats any chance he gets.
Initially very wary of strangers, especially anyone wearing a baseball cap or a long skirt, Indy quickly learned that people could be trusted. He was quickly adopted by Bay East’s resident “cool” cat at the time, Dude. Many of Dude’s kind, loving attributes have been passed down to Indy, and he has matured into a sweet cat.
If you happen to see Indy during your visit to Bay East, please be sure to say “hello” as he likes the attention.
